The tween years (8-12) can be some rough years. As a teacher and parent I've watched students and my own tween go through confusing times, doubt themselves and even lose their self confidence at times.
I remember being told who and what I was at that age and remember letting those words define me, rather defining myself. Phrases like, "you're dyslexic", "you're slow", "you're too this or too that"... From peers to parents, teachers and beyond. It almost seemed as there was an expectation to become something or be something other than myself.
We can't fight Tween's battles for them, but after seeing a similar project we realized that we can help reinforce and build that confidence in themselves through the medium of photography and a little help from the Tween's family and friends.
WHO · WHY · HOW
bE A PART OF THE PROJECT
WHO: Tween's only (ages 8-12)
WHY: It is all about letting Tweens being themselves and realizing how awesome and beautiful they are through the images captured. Then, Combining the images with positive and unexpected words of encouragement from the people they love and trust the most in life, will help build and restore self confidence and let them know that they can be themselves and BE-tween!
HOW DOES IT WORK: Prior to the session you will receive questionnaires to SECRETLY pass out to family, friends, teachers, coaches or anyone else close to them. After, we will combine the photos with the information collected into a video for everyone to enjoy.
BEST PART: The actual session is FREE! There is a non-refundable retainer fee of $50 to hold your spot, but the full $100 will be applied toward any product or package purchase!
